Awesome 8 Step Move in/Move Out Cleaning Checklist!

1. Complete an initial Move in/ Move out Cleaning consultation with one of our agents to confirm your booking.

During this initial call we will discuss what you should expect from your move in/ move out cleaning service. We will also coordinate dropping off one of our secure lock boxes where you will store the key so that our cleaning tech may gain entrance to your residence. 

2. Be sure You make Plans to be out during the scheduled block of time the cleaning is to take place.

It is best practice to give your cleaning crew the space they need to deliver the best clean possible. Some of the services we provide include heavy duty equipment like our carpet cleaners and three point steaming system. to avoid any liability issues it is important that we our able to complete the service with no tenants present.

3. Take Photos of your home prior to the service.

At AMS we pride ourselves in maintaining the utmost cleaning standards. When our cleaning tech arrives on scene they will be taking before photos and documenting the condition of the home prior to beginning the service. For your own protection we insist that you take your own set of before photos to ensure you are getting the best service possible.

4. Leave the key to your dwelling in a secure lock box we will provide ahead of the appointment

At AMS we know our clients’ time is valuable. In an effort to ensure you are not waiting on us to arrive during your assigned time block we have arranged for you to have access to one of our secure lock boxes for your convenience. This guarantees we will be able to complete your move in/move out cleaning service in a timely manner without interrupting your day.

5. Make sure the home is empty and free of any and all personal belongings including furniture

In order to ensure that our eco-friendly steamers are  able to access all points of the rooms including walls and baseboards without any obstructions; it is important that all large furniture pieces are removed from the home. This is especially important if you have opted to add carpet cleaning to your move in/move out cleaning package.

6. Ensure all cabinets and closets have been emptied out and left open.

Moving can be rather overwhelming and stressful and many of us forget things in all of the craziness. One of the most looked over places when preparing for a move in/move out cleaning are cabinets and closets. Leaving them all open ensures you won’t miss a thing when doing your final walk through.

7. Make Sure All Trash and Debris are removed from the home

Trash and debris removal does not come standard with the move in/move out cleaning. If you did not choose trash removal as an add on service please be aware that if trash and Debris is left in the home you will accrue an extra charge.

8. Final Step: Enjoy!
